The seat belts are very worn and I would like to replace them. Where do I get them and can I install them myself?
Yes you can install them yourself. You can buy from the dealer or From a wrecking yard. If you buy from a wrecking yard make sure the belts are in good condition. Make sure there is no tears or mold on the belt itself and f it has the retractable belts you will have to remove it as well as the Post bolt on the side by the door. To remove it you will have to remove the plastic cap off of the bolt thats connected to the door then using a York wrench turn the bolt counter clock wise. next pull the floor bolt out holding the reel on, depending if it has the real in the floor or on the inner part of the door post will determine how to get to it. if the roller is inside the post then you will have to unsnap the plastic cover off the door jam. For the seat belt on the inside driver side you will have to remove the bolt that holds the snap in it's place. hope this helps.
The very best place to find seat belts at a good price is at a salvage yard. Yes you can install them yourself. They simple bolt in. Of course you have to remove some trim pieces to get to the bolts. If you want new belts then there are many places that sell them.
