How do i disconeect the motor mounts i need to disconnect motor mounts so i can raise the motor and remove th oil pan

The motor mounts have a hinge bolt that goes through the upper engine hard bracket and the engine mount rubber section, it goes from from to rear in line with the engine, remove the nuts and take the load off the mount with a floor jack under the pan (use a block softwood to avoid denting the pan), once the nut and load is off slide the long bolt out and raise the engine.

Where is the starter relay on 01 ford ranger 4.0

Check this procedure for 2.5L, 3.0L & 4.0L Engines
  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle.
  3. Remove the starter cable retainer nut and release the retainer from the stud.
  4. Remove the bolts and lower the starter motor.
  5. Remove the cap.
  6. Remove the terminal nuts and remove the starter motor.
  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Torque all mounting bolts to 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm).

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Im replaceing my alternator on my 2.3 liter 2001 ford ranger and I have the two bolds removed faceing the front of the truck on the mounting braquet but Im having trouble finding the third where can it be...

one bolt is to draw the tension that goes through the bracket with the adjustable cut out. Then there is one below it on the pivot point, on the complete opposite side of the pivot point there may be another bolt.If the pivot bolt is a long bolt approx 3-4 inches then there is only the two and all you have to do is work the alternator back and forth, a little force may be required.Sometimes the alternator gets a little stuck between it and the bracket. Please let me know if this helps

Need to fix a camshaft position sensor on an 01 ford ranger 3.0

the cam sensor is located in the topside of the engine, behind the manifold, near the firewall. it is held in by two mounting bolts. just remove the wire connector and the two mounting bolts. you can then remove the cam sensor. slightly lube the oring on the new cam sensor and reinstall. tighten two mounting bolts and reconnect the wire connector

Tire bolt size

I believe that is a 5x4.5 in pattern. To be sure take a tape measure and measure from the edge of one lug to the center of one of the opposite lugs. the bolt pattern is then in the format of (number of lugs x measurement between them) so in your case it will be a 5x(measurement)

4x4 does not respond at all on 2001 ford Ranger Edge

I have a 2001 Ford ranger edge 4x4 with the 4.0L SOHC. My 4x4 module had to be replaced before I bought the truck used. The previous owner said the module was located behind the plastic panel that is under and to the right of the glove box. Mine makes a clicking noise whenever I turn the switch to 4x4 or 4x2. That's just the solenoid switch that is inside the module working. From what I've heard it's pretty common for the modules to get corroded from moisture over time in that location. Hope this helps. God bless

check the connections on your startermotor are all ok... mainly earthing... try using your jumpers to ground the engine to your battery... and hey try push starting... dont need a starter motor that way and lets you know if the engine is ok

Wheel bolt pattern

According to everything I can find, yes.
It's a 5x114.3 bolt pattern (or 5x4.50)
However, your offset (from where the wheels bolt on to the edge of the rim) might be a little different depending on the wheel.
