Theres probably no sprak on it, try removing whichever spark plug cable and make contact with ground, see if it makes spark.. try this when u try to start the car only... if theres no spark, this means u need to replace the distruibitor..(where all the spark plug cables meet)

Vehicle was parked and not started for 2 months.

Hi, there will be diodes in the generator that are letting the power from the battery drain away through the parked times when not in use. to prove it charge the battery- then disconnect the negative terminal on the battery, connect 24 hours later and see if the battery as kept it charge, if so - fit new alternator, good luck.

assuming you have no spark tester, undo 1 spark plug, ,plug it back in wire touch outer metal electrode to metal ground, have someone crank motor,be careful for shock, use long nose pliers with insulated handle to hold wire!

Drove to fuel station, fueled then refused to start

Sounds like there is some faulty wiring in you car. Make sure that everything is connected tightly. I had the similar problems with a honda and found that was the culprit

i reckon it could be your starter motor or battery-did the lights come up onto the dashboard when you turned the key-if they did then it is not the battery

I'm having the same problem with my 90 2.3L Ranger. I replaced the EGR Valve back in August and the truck ran fine (but the gas mileage was bad) until late December . I knew it needed an O2 Sensor back in August but didn't replace it until last Saturday along with the Idle Air Control Valve, Plugs and Wires. The truck ran fine for a couple minutes then started running like a VW bug! My code reader is now throwing out an EGR failure code, so I guess i'll take the 4 month EGR back and get a new one, and see what that does!_549.jpg
