2010 seat ibiza 1.6 sport sort of growling noise sometimes stoes for like 2 sec,s then starts again and stops when clutch pressed in.


indications are a failing throw out bearing for the clutch or clutch plate getting worn out AS the clutch plate lining wears , the pressure plate fingers come back closer to the throw out bearing causing it to spin
if you can make an adjustment on the slave cylinder push rod or clutch cable to give the bearing a nit more clearance the noise may not be there as it will not be spinning from the pressure plate fingers

Truck clutch was replaced at only 27329 km and had to be replaced again at 29742.Not the same driver, what could be reasons for this failure?


When the clutch was replaced was the slave cylinder also replaced? How about the throw out bearing? These are the first things I'd be looking at. When you have premature failure of these components, it comes down to the person(s) driving the vehicle or the components, in this case 2 clutches in a short amount of time plus 2 different drivers = component failure. Slave cylinder not pushing / pulling the throw out bearing enough or the bearing may be hanging on the input shaft, did you reface the flywheel or put a new one in?

I have a 1989 Ford BroncoII 2wd clutch will not engage replace the slave cylinder master cylinder bled the clutch still won't engage. No air in clutch whatsoever. anyone have an idea?


Can you see the slave cylinder moving when the clutch depressed. If so, problem most likely internal to clutch. Possible broken shift fork... seized throw out bearing..... damaged pressure plate.... worn out clutch disc. The tranny will have to be removed for inspection

How do you bleed a slave cylinder when there is no clutch? Rebuilt all components. Found a leak in hydraulic system of clutch release cylinder. No pedal at all. What do I do?


how did you find a leak in the clutch if there is none should have went to a mechanic in the first place sounds like .

I haven't go to Nissan Altima I just replace the clutch and the hydraulic slave cylinder but when the car is not running it will slide through the gears but when the car is running it won't go into any...


Make sure the throw out bearing is fitted to the clutch fork and the bearing is the same length as the old one , move the fork by hand to make sure it engages with the clutch pressure plate , if the slave cylinder rod has a adjustment nut adjust the free play at the fork to 1/8 inch . provided the clutch driven plate an throw out bearing are fitted ok and the hydraulic system is ok , it should be ok

99 f550 cluch will not disengage. It sounded like a bearing was squealing when I would push in the cluch. Do you know if this has a hydraulic slave cylinder that may not be disengaging? Is there a throw...


You should be able to remove a cover or inspection plate at the bottom of the ****** bell housing to inspect and visually see the throw out bearing. It sound like it (the throw out bearing) completely went out or damaged the fingers it rests on to disengage the pressure plate. All clutches are pretty much the same. Flywheel bolts to the rear of the crankshaft with a pilot bearing in the center for the input shaft. The clutch disk is sandwiched between the flywheel and retained in place by the pressure plate. Followed by the throw out bearing which is operated by the release fork. You could have a bad slave cylinder, but that would not be the source for the squealing you hear. Sounds like it's time to replace the clutch assembly.

The clutch will not engage properly on my 1988 toyota pickup. Already replace clutch master cyclinder and clutch slave?


There are a couple of possibilities; worn clutch plate, failed pressure plate, possible hanging up of the throw-out bearing. Also, some hydraulic clutches have a throw adjustment on the slave cylinder that may need adjustment after replacing the slave cylinder.
If you plan on more DIY maintenance, I would highly recommend buying a Haynes service manual, you'll find the $25 well-spent:

Replaced master cylinder in clutch in an attempt to stop the car sticking in gear and moving when foot taken of brake. It still moves while the clutch is still depressed and needs brake to stop...


Sounds like a worn-out clutch plate or broken/damaged throw-out bearing or pressure plate. You need to replace the clutch - including the pressure plate, throw-out bearing, pilot bearing, and I also recommend a new slave cylinder. (Especially since you have allready replaced the master cylinder.) You may want to weigh the pros and cons of having your flywheel machined or just replacing it with a "Remanufactured " flywheel.

Clutch pedal does not engage clutch


You may have an issue with the slave cylinder. when the slave cylinder is shot or damaged it does not engage the throw out bearing which in turn engages the pressure plate to the clutch plate.

Sounds like the clutch, and/or slave cylinder and related parts. Check the pressure plate, and spring tension, slave cylinder, throw out bearing. and replace worn parts
