Okay I need a bit more clarification. Is it smoking from the fuse box in the engine compartment or inside the car? Does it start smoking when the key is turned to the on position but the car isn't running? Or does it smoke only when the car is running? Check to make sure nothing has gotten spilled on or into it. Does the fuse box look charred? How do the wires look?

I have a coirsa c 2002, engine type z14xe, can anyone tell me where to find the interior fuse box. Am trying to find the fuse which controls the electric mirrors

Im not sure if there is an interior fuse box on this model anymore, there should be one under the bonnet but you could also check the drivers side below the headlight switches.

All the best

chances you have one of possible problems . your serp belt burned up because something seized.or a electrical short at the starter or fuse box. or in the fuse box the main fuse went. but not with smoke i would check the first two belt or short in the starter or alternater

Smoke coming out of dashboard by the fuse box from a 95 z-71 1500 series

Smoke coming out of the dash by the fuse box sounds like a serious electrical system malfunction to me. I would recommend diagnosis and repair by a qualified auto repair technician before your vehicle burns to the ground.

Fuse box diagram for a 1999 jeep cherokee sport

Which fuse box diagram are you looking for? There are two fuse boxes in your Jeep. The diagrams will not tell you anything that the diagram in the lid of the fuse box will not tell you. What are you trying to fix? If you are have some type of electrical problem, you are not likely to fix the problem by replacing the fuse.

The air bag module is under the heater core. If your heater core leaks onto that "blue box" it will smoke like mad.

I have a customer with a serious problem! He's also my cousin> He ran his impala out of fuel four days ago and it burned up the factory original fuel pump. I replaced it and then two days later the pump...

When you replaced the pump, did you replace the pump relay? I'm concerned with the smoke...That may indicate more than a minor electrical problem. You need to find the exact source of the smoke and pretty much stop attempting to start the car by bypassing stuff. That said, likely when you correct the short, it will most likely restore the fuel pump electrical as well, since that's where the problem began.
Check all wiring near where the smoke came from for signs of overheating, check the pump relay and fuse and check any fusible links to make sure everything is intact and as it should be. Without knowing exactly what shorted, creating a bypass or "work around", can back-feed power to somewhere it can do more damage to sensitive computer circuits. Aside from the pump problem the vehicle had no other issues...you don't want to make any new ones.
I know I'm not telling you what you want to hear. That's because even if I was right there, I'd need to begin tracing wires and doing pretty much what I outlined.
In electrical work, there is no guessing, and once you see smoke you know you are on dangerous ground and at risk of melting down the harness or other expensive items. It may turn out to be something simple but you need to be sure.

once you get the wiring fixed-either secure the wires in a position where they won't be rubbing against any sharp edges with zip ties or wrap them with protective wrap

Serious electrical problems wiv vw golf mk4 gti turbo yr 2000

I had a VW rabbit that developed mad electrical problems. It started when one day the headlights remained on and would not shut off. It turned out that a $2.00 gasket for the antenna wire had failed. This allowed road water from the wheel well to leak onto the fuse box. In time the fuse panel corroded and shorted out. I had to replace the fuse box twice and use rubber epoxy to seal the leak.
Check all fuses and electrical wiring for signs of shorts or corrosion.
