Question about Suzuki Aerio

1 Answer

Recetnly purchased a used 2003 Suzuki Aerio from dealership. Car was running fine. Then suddenly would not start after being parked at work. The interior lights went dim when door opened, and battery was completely dead. Called Progressive Roadside Assistance and got a jump start, and the car started but lights still dimmed. Arrived home, and killed car. Tried to re-start the car and it would not even try to turn over at all. Battery was completely dead. Weird thing is when all doors are shut and the lights inside the car are off a clicking sound is heard inside the car from the dash. When door opens and lights try to come on the clicking stops. Does this car need to go back to the dealership?

I would say thats a good idea, if you got an extended warranty! from most of the symptoms i would say it sounded like your alternator was hooped. the clicking from the dash...if it's coming from the engine side it sould be your solinoid which clicks back and forth to open and close the circuit to send the signal for the started to crank when you turn the key. why it would be on when everythings is off and then shut off when you open the door i don't know. sorry i couldn't more (if any) help

My 2003 aerio ees stalling when I come to a stop, other than that it runs fine, what ould the cause be ??

Here is a possibility for your problem. If this is an automatic trans.
the trans. is staying engaged stalling the engine. If this is the case a fluid change will not fix this issue, it is internal in transmission.
Good luck.

My break lights wont work on my 2003 suzuki aerio

Sounds like your brake light switch, located on the brake pedal, has gone out. Shouldn't cost too much more than $20 to get a new part and about 30 min. to fix. Good luck and thanks for using FixYa!

Is it safe to go to a local mechanic?

its safe to take it to any ase cirtified mechanic because they go through training every year its their job to do so the dealership is a good place is a good place to take it tho it may cost more but they specialise on the car if its a suzuki dealer if not im seriously suggesting you check your local mechanic and find out their cirtification just make sure by asking arround or listening to friends about their quality of work and trustability
