Not starting

pull the cover off the fuse box and see if there is water inside, check the one under the hood and the one under the dash. if no water there then it is getting into some other electrical component. if water is in the outside one you can cover it with something, the one inside has water in it you will have to find where the water is coming in and stop it

Overheating when driving down the road

Most common cause is a internally plugged radiator.
The water and coolant often react negatively to the metals and rubber inside the passageways to clog the radiator over time. If you wish to try to "reverse flush " it yourself, ask "fixya".
Other causes may be: Stuck thermostat, plugged fins of radiator outside, water pump slipping or starting to fail by "freezing up",
loose or slipping serpentine belt, and problem with the engine cooling fan.

What is the best position for an engine fan relative to the fan shroud?

the fan should sit so about 1/2 of the fan blade is outside of the edge of the fan shroud.the main purpose of the fan shroud is to force air into the fan and increase the air flow over the fan blades so the fan can push the air over the motor more efficeintly than without a shroud.if the fan is too far into the shroud it changes the amount of air circulation over the motor as well as if the fan is too far outside the shroud.

Water was leaking inside on passengers side, now

HVAC drain tube was blocked and condensation could not drain to the outside of the vehicle

as a result the water pooled inside the HVAC case leaking on the inside and killing your blower motor and probably blower motor resistor

clear the drain, replace the blower and resistor and you'll be back in business

No hot air

Check the coolant level and water pump.
Also check the position of heater inside the cabine
It might be in a position when car takes air from outside not from inside.
Good Luck
