Question about 1999 Oldsmobile Cutlass
Check your pistributer to make sure that you're getting spark. pull the rotor cap and turn the key to see if it's sparking. it's best to replace those once a year to 18 months anyways...the cap and rotor are cheap and i've had 2 go on me in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night...an ounce of prevention......

I have this exact car. it could be the passlock anti theft system. these cars and malibu cars are famous for this! try turning your key to the "on" position. leave it like that for 10 minutes. after 10 minutes, turn it forward to start. remember do not turn it off...keep turning forward. it should start if it is this problem.
