There is a fault in the circuit board inside the electronic dash, you can have the cluster repaired by any authorized GM electronics repair shop, if you read your post it says
"my fuel gage and trip miles work when I push the reset button for the trip miles on the dash" just to be sure what u are saying here do u mean The trip and fuel gauge ONLY work when u push the reset button?. Could you please clarify this for me, in most cases the fuel gauge has nothing to do with the trip meter, that problem is almost always the sending unit for the fuel gauge in the gas tank that is defective.

How do I reset the traction control on my 2009 GMC?

Look around the center console below the radio. The button is in there. Push it down and light on dash will go out if it is not engaged. Those buttons are easy to trip without knowing it.

How to reset allreadouts such as trip miles and all that can be reset

There should be two buttons associated with your readouts, NORMALLY one will change the readout, trip miles, fuel usage, etc, the other is normally for changing from imperal to metric (miles to kilometers) on MOST vehicles if you put it on the trip miles screen and hold down both buttons for a few seconds it will reset, some vehicles will even beep to let you know that you have reset your readouts.

2008 Toyota 4Runner maintenance light is on eventhough I did changed the oil. How do I reset it?? I tried one of the suggestions which included turning the key to on and resetting the trip miles but...

You were close with re-setting the trip miles. Here are the steps:

(1) Turn key on, but do not start car. Keep pushing the trip miles button until you get to the odometer miles (the total mileage of the car), not the trip miles.

(2) Trun key off.

(3) Push and HOLD the reset button with one hand, then turn the key on (do not start the car) with the other.

(4) While you continue to HOLD in the reset button, you will notice the various warning lights blink and turn off. After about 10 seconds, release the reset button.

(5) Turn key off, then turn key back on and start car. The maintenance light will be off.

Unfortunatly you have aproblem with either the dash control module or the dash itself which will need to be replaced.

Hope this helps.

I changed the oil but dont know hou to reset the change oil panel

open the panel with the trip/od and the mirror adjust. next to the trip/od you will see a rest button. turn the car off. weith your foot OFF the brake push the start button twice while holding in the reset button. the trip/od must be set to just odometer, no trip a or b. you will see the oil mileage reset on dash right in front of you. hold the button until it finishes. if you have navleave the ingition on and push INFO button, choose MAIT and reset the oil and filter to 5000 miles.

Have you checked the fuses? Look in the owner's manual for the locations... you might have just blown one.

Maint light came on at 59990 miles

I own a dealership, and you are NOT stuck taking it to a dealer.

This is how you do it:

1. Turn the key on
2. Verify that the ODO dislays your 59+K miles; NOT trip A or trip B; you MUST see "ODO" displayed
3. Turn the key OFF
4. Push in and HOLD the trip reset button. Do NOT release it until advised...
5. Turn the key to the "ON" position, do NOT start the car.
6. Obsrve the odometer. You will see 5 dashes, then 4, 3, 2, 1 dashes, and then 5 zeros
7. The mileage you started with will return.
8. Release the trip reset button.
9. Start the car verify that the light is out.

If thi does not work, and it should, please get back to me.

Fuel reset button on 2002 yukon

The reset button for any instrument display tallies ( fuel consumption, average, trip miles, etc ) is located on the sterring wheel. It should be the button on the lower right with the down and back arrow printed on it. Once you display the item you want to reset, hold this button for a few seconds and the display should reset to 0.

Good Luck
