Question about 2006 Ford Taurus
It is inside the passenger compartment. You can refer to the owners manual for the correct fuse amperage rating as well as where it is in the fuse box and which fuse box it is.

You can get a .pdf version of the 2001 Ford Taurus Owner's Manual at: http://owner.ford.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Owner/Page/OwnerGuidePage&year=2001&make=Ford&model=Taurus
It has instructions and guides for finding and replacing the fuses in a 2001 Ford Taurus. It starts on page 146-147.
Always use the specific Owner's Manual for the correct Model Year of a Ford or Mercury vehicle. I recently purchased a 2001 Ford Taurus, and had thought that I could use the Owner's Manual from a 1999 Mercury Sable from a friend. BUT, I figured out that each model year can be very different (before any serious damage happened.) Good luck.
