Open your glove compartment. On either the outer right or left side there will be a sticker (usually the left). This sticker should have 2 numbers on it. One will have 5 digits. This number should be your code. If you've tried too many codes, disconnect your battery, reconnect and try again.

There is a way to reset that. contact your local dealer and see if they have a master code you can use to reset it.

I have a problem with the code of the stereo honda element 2004

Usually the stereo code is needed for accessing any kind of function of the stereo.
If the radio code is not located in the owners manual there are other places that might have the code displayed.

Check the fuse panel inside cover or the sides of the glove box door.
(This is where I put the radios code sticker for when I am performing new vehicle deliveries)

A honda dealership would be the only option to make use of this problem.

What the Honda dealership does is find the stereo's serial number then the advisor is able to locate the radio's 4 - 6 digit code.

On some models the serial number is found by holding the #1 and #6 radio preset simultaneously, then hitting the power button.

At this point the radio's display should show the serial number and the radio code can be retrieved by the advisor.

I have a Honda Pilot I disconnected the battery now my stereo is asking me for a code..... can anyone help me??

You may have to call the dealer if you don't have the code in your manual. They may ask you for the vin number and the radio's serial number for which you will have to remove the radio in order to obtain it.

2007 honda pilot radio code

Typically to get the code you have to have the serial number of the unit and call a Honda dealership to get the code. Sometimes in years gone by, there was a credit card sized card that had a sticker with the serial number and code. Sometimes the sticker is even stuck on the owners manual or the inside of the glovebox.

It sound like you are going aftermarket so I would think that the code is not needed as the code was only for the factory radio itself, not the rest of the system (speakers, etc..) Call the radio installer and ask but I don't think you need the code.

Stereo code

Your stereo is on most likely on anti-theft, if its the stock stereo check the owners manual booklet, otherwise you'll have to ask the dealership

Stereo is asking for code

That means it needs a pass code to be entered to operate. It is a security feature to deter theft of the stereo.

If you do not know your pass code, check the user manual for a factory default one.
If you cannot do that, then try this to reset it;

Put key in the ignition and turn to "run" do not start it.
Leave it in that position for 30 minutes. Check to see if it is no longer prompting you for a pass code.

Stereo displays code and wont play anything

I had the same problem with my 2002 CR-V after replacing the alternator. If you open the glove compartment there is a sticker (at least it was on mine) on the left side of the glove compartment door. The top number is the code. The bottom number is the serial number of the stereo.

Looking for 96 Honda Civic Radio Code

You just have to go to a dealer and get one, they shouldn't charge you for it. Every time the battery is unhooked the stereo will need the code again, so try and get them to give it to you and not just put it in for you.
