Some guessed my OEM keyless entry code. how do I keep them out of my car. Can OEM code be changed in a 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis?

Unfortunately there is a default code for these keyless entry systems, i do not believe that you can remove this default code from the system, my advice to you would be to check your owners manual...(if available) and read up on the keyless entry system for this vehicle, if there is no helpful information in there on this issue, then i would contact your local Ford/Lincoln/Mercury dealer and talk to someone there... but like i stated, unfortunately i do not believe the default code can be removed from the system.

I hope this helps, and good luck with your concern...

    Entry code om drivers door

The keyless entry module is located in the rear of the vehicle on the driver's side. You will need to partially remove the left rear panel in the cargo area. You will then see the keyless entry module bolted behind a metal reinforcement bar. There is a sticker on the module that has the 5 digit entry code.
