Ford 2004 f-250 will not shift out of park after starting v-10 engine

Do your brake lites work? The diagram is shift interlock. Not only check the fuses, check for voltage on fuse circuits, use a test lite. As you can see one fuse is hot all the time, the other goes hot with key on. Might be other issues, the shift interlock was my first thought. Some vehicles have a button you can push to bypass the shift interlock, not sure about yours, then you can shift into neutral? Your owners manual would probably tell you?

Goes into neutral and then shifts hard into 1st on slowdown

It sounds like your input clutch seals are rolling. Is the check engine light on. It could also be the pressure control solenoid could be causing the problem aswell
