You have to to push against the bottom half of the seat towards the back of the car, theres a clip that holds the bar in place and then they just pull out. The top half of the seats have to be unbolted

First remove the bottom half of the seat. They usually pull up, but they may be fastened by the legs. After removal, you will have access to the bolts on the bottom of the backrest.

Where is the location of the fuel pump driver module on a 2001 mercury cougar

This module is located behind the interior side trim panel, LH side behind the front seat, below the rear LH side glass. AKA B Pillar trim panel. Access from inside, probably will require removal of the rear seat bottom and even top of seat to remove the panel. it will be the small box in the center of that area once the panel is removed. Good luck!

How to remove rear seat of 1997 Mercury Sable

Most rear seats are held in with clams and screws . Look under the swab (bit you sit on) for screws or bolts holding the front of that part down. remove and lift out. Then you should see two more at the bottom of the seat back holding it in . Remove these and lift the back bit straight up off the retaining clips.. take a trip to the wreckers if you are in doubt.

Check drivers side in trunk behind side panel between rear lights and back seat. There should be a hole to put your finger through and push reset button down. If no hole, you may have to remove any push clips and look behind .

Trunk won't open.

on the front of the seats the bottom part you sit on check for two bolts if it has two remove them if not its easier, either way if there is nothing securing the front down, reach in under the seat between the top and bottom bit where the seat belts stick out of, feel around the middle section and there may be a looped rope material pull it and the bottom seat should just pop straight out, there will be two bolts holding the top part of the seat in, removethese and lift up and farward, the seats till be out,
