I would check the crank fuse in the fusebox. Also check to see if when the key is turned to the starting position, that there is power going to the small terminal on the starter solenoid.

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee does not get negative input to starter relay and does not start. How do I diagnose the problem.

Note the diagram? What about your security system? Make sure battery has a full charge and battery connections all good. If you unplug starter relay and use jumper sire between terminal 30 and 87, the starter should crank. If you try this make sure tranny is in park or neutral and parking brake is set. I don't know exactly what testing you have done? I'm just trying to see if starter motor will crank the engine? Even so, if it does crank that doesn't mean it will start and run.
The pcm grounds the starter relay, that is why I asked about security system.

Not getting fire to starter on 2005 explorer sport trac

Voltage , not fire ! Do you know how the starting system works ? Starter relay controlled by the PCM - engine computer , provided that the PATS - anti-theft systems has no problems . Do you know what a relay is ? Videos on youtube on how to diagnose . Is the security light flashing when trying to start the vehicle ? No fire to which wire ? main battery cable or the littler one . Go to free wiring diagrams . Get a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter an test the circuit .
