Question about 2004 Ford Explorer
Find the air-filter housing, then follow the ducting from the box to the engine. You will see a component that is square, made out of aluminum, has one electrical connection going to it, and a vacuum line. This compoment is the MAF sensor. I don't know why you are asking but what is inside is very fragile and you can not touch it. Not even with a Q-tip.
