No. the lines for your cavalier are the same from the late 80s to present day. they are all interchangable.

check vacum lines for leaks in the headlight assembly, sometimes they dry rot,the vacum lines] it has to a vacum issue. you may need to replace the vacum lines with new vacum hose. you can but it by the foot at any parts store, but you'll need to carry a peice of old one to get exact size.trace the vacum lines from headlights to the source of vacum canister, just to be sure that the canister itself isn't leaking. look for cracks in the vacum lines along the way.if you find that the canister is cracked,it can be repaired by jb weld and repainted, just to keep it original.thank you for choosing fixya.com

I have a/c on, and its working great up front, but blowing really hot air in back seat. What's up?

It may be the dampers in the vents they use vacum lines to change positions the vacume line could be bad or the manifold on the switch is not changing like its supposed too.

Fan works no air through vents

that is a crack in a vacume line, or a vacume line is unplugged.
the vacume lines it what allows you to change the damper. (defrost, feet, vents) this is very common especially if you have had work done on it recently

you need to bleed the coolant through the radiator tube. there is a bold on the bottom steel line on the driver side of the motor back it out but not all the way and then fill your radiator until antifreeze comes out of the hole on that line. make sure it is a steady stream before tighten it up

sounds like you have a vacum leak in one of the vacum lines or you need to change the idle air control valve. start the engine and raise the hood and lisen for a vacum leak and check all vacum lines for dryrot. if no vacum leak can be found then replace the idle air control valve, this controls your idling

Clicking noise from font driver side wheel 4 wheel drive

There is a vacum powered actuator on the front differential housing on the passenger side. It pushes one way for 2WD and the other way for 4WD. If it gets an erratic vacum signal it can cause the clicking as it goes between 2WD and 4WD. It gets it's vacum from two valves mounted on the firewall just behind the battery(to left). The white line feeds manifold vacum to the valves. Check for vacum at white line with engine running. If no vacum there is a break in line from manifold (not likely in this case). If vacum check the pink and blue lines by applying vacum to each one. The vacum should hold. If not check lines from valves to vacum actuator. If both lines hold vacum check valves. Remove electrical connectors from both valves. Connect a wire from one of the terminals of the valve to ground. Touch a wire from the battery + to the other terminal of the valve. Listen for a clicking sound. If no sound valve is bad. Replace valves(s). Also have someone watch position of actuator shaft as you move the selector between 2WD and 4WD. There should be movement. If there is an intermittent problem sometimes it will and other times it won't.
