Question about 2006 Chevrolet HHR
Do I need to un-hook any battery cables to install a new ecm on my Chevy HHR?
Yes. you can disconnect either the neg or pos cable from the battery. failure to do so can result in a surge hitting the ECM...and frying it. as a rule of thumb...anytime you work on anything under the hood, except for oil canges...disconnect the battery. safety is first!!!
