How to remove key from 2000 jimmy ignition

Is it broken off in the ignition switch? If so, you will need a locksmithing key extract tool. It is a small strip of metal with teeth in it. You try and hook the broken key and gently pull it out.
Good luck as these are tough to do if you haven't done on before.

Blower fan for heat/air continue to run with key off?

sounds like closed circuit or a short because the egnition is a master shut down and if it gets through that then ther seems to be a short bypassing the egnition

When turn the egnition switch it doesn't enage the starter. the radio works fine, the gauges are reading ok

You definetely need a locksmith because the ignition lock key reading sensor wires are broken it is a well known problem I would not allow anyone to say that they will fix it what I would ask is if they are going to replace the ignition if they say they are repairing find someone that will, get ready to pay about 200 it's a good price.

Does this mean that it will not crank, or that it cranks but does not start??? Check small ground wire from battery to fender to make sure its not broken.

My car is stalling to start. If I just hold the key, it will eventually catch and go ahead and crank. I've changed the crank sensor. Fuel pump is good. Any other ideas?
