How do i reset radio - 2006 Nissan Altima

I would like to re-set the radio's ABC scanner or choices to 0 songs or 0 scans. In other words. Since I purchased a used car...someone else's songs are preset on the A-B-C scanner. How do I delete the songs? I know I can replace them with other songs, but I would like to empty the scanner. If I have the scanner on A (preset)...and want to push the button on the tuner on the steering wheel...I can only scroll down whatever is pre-set. I'd like to scroll to all stations and choose and leave on any I like. Thanks.

Is there a charge for this? I just got a new key and paid $132 to get it programmed. Wow.

The steering wheel on this car has buttons that give you options (I believe it is in the center of the wheel, but I can't remember), the odometer settings (trip for example) cruise control, volume for the radio, as well as a little lever that you push (up and down)...this allows for you to choose whatever is pre-set on the odometer, cruise control, or ABC radio scanner (depending on your option). What I would like to do is clear the pre-set stations so the lever when pushed up doesn't give me the pre-sent songs. Instead I would like it to serve as a tuner (which it will once the stations are deleted). What I should have said is I would like to DELETE the pre-set stations (not songs) that are scanned in memory for each A-B-C option. I hope I am making myself clear.

If its asking for a code which you don't have then take the VIN number to the dealer and they should be able to tell you the code. You might need your registration info as well.

2004 truck delco radio 5 disc cd player. cd

Common for the CD to get stuck on the Delco radio, Try resetting the radio by disconnecting the battery for 5 min and then reinstalling the cables. This will reset the radio and you should get your CD to work again, if there is an issue. You going to have to go to the dealer and they are going to have to use a Tech2 scanner to reset and reprogram the radio. If there is any mechanical issues the Tech2 scanner will identify the issues, but 90% of the time. It's just a simple reset and the other 10% is a reprogram or replacing the unit.
Thank you for using fixya and good luck.

Code for radio, changed battery and now no power

Check the manuel, the code may have been written in there and give you the instructions to resetting the radio, and check for a sticker in the glove box for the radio code. If you have a good relationship with the dealer they may even help you reset your radio without a fee or minimal amount.
Good luck and if that does not help you and they want a crazy amount to reset the radio try Keep me posted

If its a factory installed radio and not an aftermarket radio, only dealerships can reset the radio for you. The reason for being is dealerships needs to be sure that his or her radios are not stolen.
