Question about 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Faulty fuel pump or bad electrical connection to it. The pump and the sending unit (which controls the gauge) are a combined unit. There is a wire harness that plugs into the top of the unit (on top of the gas tank). I've seen this with a faulty ground wire to the unit as well.
