Question about 2004 Buick Century

When stoped at red light and just as start up, car will **** and a bumping sound is heard. It dosen't do it every time only ocasionally. 2004 Buick century 117,000 miles.6cyl.

Intermittent Cruise Control Issue - cuts out when small bump in road is hit and may or may not re-engage after that.


Check the wire connector that plugs into the cruise control under the hood. Sounds like a loose connection. Remove the and reinsert the wire connector several times to make a better connection. Stepping on the brake pedal disengages the cruise control by a switch on the brake pedal, not the computer.

Have a 94 buick roadmaster,while driven it has a bad miss to it. It excelerate fine but while driven and stoped at red light it excelerate up and down,up and down.


Sounds like your sucking in some air through the fuel but try this first...new plugs and wires, distributer, fuel filter and air filter... total cost should be under 200 if you do it your self.... and it isn't rocket science but it sure sounds like your sucking air....

Mazda 3 brakes clicking


That may be normal. My brakes used to click whenever I hit a bump, the pucks can rattle a little when the brakes are off.

Engine dosen't turn over when key is turned,even though lights,radio,&heater fan works


The fault could be a faulty starter solenoid or a faulty started motor or worn statrer motor brushes.

I mworking on my blazer AC unit now . You have a problem with the compressor clutch or the compresser Its likely the clutch its supposed to cycle about 8 times per minute . So it goes on then off 8 times per munite this is normal . However if the clutch dosen't spin then the belt will drag on the clutch pulley this will stall the engine until the belt wares out but this will damage every part that the belt rides on . The water pump the alternator powersteering pump and belt tenisinor not to mention the belt .It sounds like your clutch is seized try not to run it until you can figure out why the clutch isn't spining

2004 Buick Rainier has shuddering and grinding sound when backing. Started after recent alignment (shop said they had problems with aligning, I heard them beating on something). A leak under the front end...


take it back and ask them to see what has gone wrong .its down to their mishandling ,steering should never need re aligning unless the ball joints are worn causing it ,do you have a annual vehicle mechanical inspection in your area?? lights brakes emmisions and inspection over a pit with metals plates shaking the suspension ??,also conformity to the certificate of homoglonation ??

If it clicks and clicks, but eventually starts it sounds like a stuck starter, you can try hitting the starter a few times with a hammer. but it will likley need to be replaced

4 wheel drive stopped working


the light is on.........let's see, where you having problems with clunking noises in the front, now or before when or not in 4 wheel drive? If so sounds like cv/axle shats/joints. Last time you used 4 wheel, was there a big clunk, just once? Is there an ocasional clunk when going over bumps? If so, sounds like Ujoint. I don't belive chevys use vaccum for 4 wheel drives systems at all.

Starter Switch Does Not Start Engine


HI,
It sounds to me like the starter / solenoid area needs attention - I think the clicking will be the solenoid activating but the starter is not turning. Do the lights dim to zero when you turn the ignition switch? If so, it may be the starter itself at fault; if not, then the electrical connections to the starter should be checked for corrosion. If the terminal are hot after trying to start, that's a sign of corroded terminals.
