No heat coming out of vents when blower is on

hi, you say there is no HEAT coming out when blower is on .. is air being blown out of the vents? .. if YES, cold air, then the problem may be an air lock/ a valve stuck closed/ or low coolant .. could be a problem with the air conditioning controls. If NO AIR blowing out of the vents and you can hear the fan blowing then investigate, controls to open and close vents, or possibly disconnected ducting .. if the car has been stood a long time it could be sticking vent/door/flap .. search internet for diagram of heating system for more information.

1997 ford e250 van. heat only no cool air. New heat valve (vac. controld). If dash control knob is on red or blue (hot or cold) hot air comes out of floor, mix, or defrost depending on position of delivery...

One of your deflector door servos or the door itself, is hanging up. To determine this more clearly, run your vehicle for about two minutes and shut down the engine. Move your function selector knob from defrost to floor to panel and listen carefully for a sweeeping sound. if you do not hear this sound you've got to check under the dash for a loose vacuum line or under the hood for a loose or broken line to the vacuum accumulator. The vacuum accumulator is a large black ball on the firewall with only two lines connected to it. One line is about3/32nds of an inch and the other will be about one quarter inch. Check these lines well, for they control ALL the functions within yout climate control. Best of luck my friend, Dana

2002 dodge 1500 air conditioning wont work.

there is a vacuum line coming from the engine that operates the flip door actuator.make sure there is no hissing from the engine area, especially if the idle speed is higher than normal.that means a vacuum leak.

Air con hissing noise from vents

Strongly suspect the AC system has sprung a leak somewhere and the refrigerant is 'low' - the 'hissing' noise you hear is normal when the system is 'undercharged.' Solution is inspect the system & repair the leak. If it turns out there is NO leak, then the problem is either at the compressor (low head pressure) and/or the expansion valve at the evaporator.

Acceleration no air, foot off gas air barely blows out vents

The vent is controlled by vacuum. Check the condition of the vacuum hose associated with the vent control. What is happening is when you decelerate, the intake manifold vacuum increases, and a diaphram is slightly pulled giving you air in the vent but very little. In normal condition the diaphram wont even pull. Solution is check for a vacuum leak in the vent control trace it coming from the intake manifold.

Heating / air conditioning control stuck to front defrost vents

There is a vacuum leak under the hood. Find the vacuum line on the passenger side where it comes through the firewall and follow it to the engine. You system needs vacuum to operate and without it the default setting is on defrost for safety reasons.

Air condition and heat

Hello Ray
It could be a couple of things No.1 I would look and see if maybe a pen got into the vents on the defrosters, Sometimes that does happen and it will hold the door so it can't shut to allow air flow to the vents facing outward. No.2 The switch is bad and not allowning the doors or gates to open and close properly, Listen and see if you hear the door or anything differant when you move the selector switch, If you do hear it trying to change its probably something stuck. No.3 Could just be a vacuum line off under the dash somewhere broken or fallen off. If thats the case and you are not very savoy with that kind of stuff You may want to consider taking it in to a respectible shop, Which is hard to find these days.LOL Well Ray I sure hope that helps you out some what, Thanks for using Fix Ya.com Bear001
