    2WD 2.5L TBI 4cyl

    The firing order is 1-3-4-2. Count from front of engine 1 -2-3-4. 4 in
    back. Now under your distributor cap is a rotor.
    Remember were the rotor is pointed to. Now set the distributor cap back
    on.

    The firing order will start at the post that the rotor was pointed.
    That post will be No: 1. Put the plug wire on it & on your fist plug
    in front of engine. Now looking at the distributor, go {clock wise} to
    the next plug wire on the distributor & it will be N0: 3. Put it on
    the 2nd plug from front to back of engine. Do the same steps for the
    next two 4 & 2.
    As long as you have not taken the hole distributor out of the engine.
    all should be well. If you have taken out the distributor, then you will
    need to re-take it out again. And pull out the No: 1 spark plug. Then
    turn the crankshaft over to the two marks on the front bottom pulley.
    This will bring the N0: 1 piston to the top of the cylinder head &
    the mark at 0 on bottom. If one of your vales are open at this point,
    then turn over the engine once more to the mark. Check & make sure
    that the N0:1 piston is up, & both vales closed. Now set the
    distributor back inside, with the rotor pointed at the front right of
    the engine . Remember this is were to start from when you put the
    distributor cap back on. At this point front right will be No: 1 &
    go {clock wise} to 3 4 & 2. Hope you did not need to go through all
    of this & only needed the firing order.

    Good Luck!

How do I set timing for my 1990 toyota pickup 2wd space cab v6 3,0 engine.?

Fig. Fig. 1: 3VZ-E Engine. Firing order-1-2-3-4-5-6. Distributor rotation: counterclockwise ,start by finding timing mark on crank shaft and rotate motor to timing indecater on motor ( to check if that is #1 at top dead center remove spark plug, piston should be at top of cylinder, use a soft object to feel piston come up you need 2 people to do this ,1 to turn motor over by hand and 1 to feel for piston rising now open dist. cap and note location of rotor pointing to #1 ignition wire or that will be now #1 and follow firing order ,if you go to auto zone and create an account (its free) you can get info on timing a motor and cylinder position .I REALLY hope this helped you .if it did let me know.thanks .

Firing order for a 1999 chevy s10 pickup

I apologize for the late response...Due to the bad economic situation this site has had a substantial (+50%) increase in the number of questions being asked in the last four months.
I assume you have a 4.3L and not the 2.2L?

For the 4.3L:
Firing Order:
1-6-5-4-3-2

Cylinders:
6-----------5
4-----------3
2-----------1
(front of vehicle)

Distributor:
coil wire-->
-----6------->............<--------5-------
-----4------->............<--------1-------
-----2------->............<--------3-------
............(front of vehicle)

Need the firing order for 1999 Chevy S-10 4 Cyl 2.2L

I believe it firing order is 1-4-2-3 (where cyclinder #1 is the closest to the fire wall) and your distributer has the plug wires running almost vertically.

1st cylinder = the very bottom
4th cylinder = second from the bottom
2nd cylinder = second from the top
3rd cylinder = the top connection on the distributer.

I hope this helps and good luck
