Hi.

The concord mounts a cross flow radiator made of horizontal tubes and plastic structure.

Here the procedure to bleed coolant:

  • Disconnect the battery ground cable.
  • Put a pan under the radiator, then open the radiator drain located at the lower right hand side of the radiator. Do not use pliers to open the plastic drain on the radiator.
  • Remove the coolant reservoir cap and open the thermostat bleed valve.
  • Perform operations in reverse order and refill fluid to level. Do not overfill.
Here the picture of a radiator plug in a 1998 model, it may be slightly different on the 2002 model:

Remove the 10mm bolts from the fan blade & remove it. Now you have room to work. Next drain the radiator & disconnect hoses. The small bottom ones are the transmission cooler hoses, plug them. Next remove the 2 top retainer brackets. You should now be able to pull it out.

Where is the Radiator drain plug located on a 2002 Town and Country Limited 3.8L

If equipped with a drain plug ( some manufacturers don't supply one ) it will be located at the lower left or lower right of the radiator. It may have a butterfly type screw or could have a recessed phillips head screw.

Where is drain plug in 2002 chrysler town and country

drain plugs are up in a protected shroud in the bottom tank
will require a large phillips driver to undo
may have to remove the plastic splash panel or protector panel under the radiator tank
If it is easier to remove the bottom hose at the radiator then that will be the way to go

Do i need to remove anything to get to the radiator drain plug on 2002 chrysler concorde lxi?

the drain "bung" or "spikot" will be located on either the drive or passenger side bottom corner of the radiator. in some cases you need to remove a splash guard or skid plate in order to access it. once you find it you should be able to slip a 3/8th or 1/2 inch hose over the end in order to run it neatly into a container

Getting the radiator drain plug out of the radiator

twist pet-**** counter clockwise until it stops (usually 1/4 turn) then pull outward, it doesn't need to come all the way out, just enough to drain.
