May be the switch assembly or the motor has failed.

remove the switch from console and test for voltage before and after the unit while on if there is voltage to it but not past it the switch is bad.

Not sure what fuse or fuses you have replaced. I know there is a fuse marked BLWR in the fuse panel under the hood but the is also another fuse that is a vital part dealing with the blower motor working. Above in the second picture is the fuse layout in the fuse panel inside the truck. I marked the fuse you need to check (HTR A/C). If that fuse is good then you need to check where your power loss is. In the first picture above, that is one of the connectors on the control panel (power control switch &if you have a manual control not auto). The terminal marked with an arrow you need to chaeck for power at that terminal (Should be a brown wire. If no power, find the open wire from there to the HTR A/C fuse. If your good there you can make sure your getting power to the blower motor. Not sure of the wire color but it's the one that's not black. Make sure you have power there with the switch on. remember to use a seperate ground and not the other wire (the black one) on the connector at the blower motor. If no power the find the open wire from there to the replay. If all is good then there's much more tracing but I would start here. Hope it's just that other fuse. Hope this helps....

Chk for power at the blower motor electrical connector. If no voltage, check the blower motor resistor, its within the blower motor vent (this controls power to the blower motor). Also, in theses vehicles water may have damaged the blower motor itself. Inspect the blower motor for proper function.

Why doesn't ac blower work on number 5 setting? it is a chevy hd gas engine

Most likely the blower motor resistor. It's mounted next to the blower motor under the dash. Also check the 7 wire plug going to it, GM had a problem with that plug, and the wiring getting hot and melting. The plug is $68.00 from the dealership. One of my customer's car had the same problem.

I have a 2005 chevy silverado heater/ac fan stopped working . Checked fuses all were good .Removed fan and it works ,whats next?

Treed55508,

Try this solution. I have had the same issue three times. A Chevy tech told me that if it keeps doing it, to replace the blower motor, as it seems to be a chronic problem with the blower having to much resistance and thus burning out the resistors. I suspect that you probably had lost one speed first and then more. It has happened both ways with me, once the entire thing went out at once and then the other times it goes one speed at a time.
