Hi:
Sorry, but the timing belt must come off to remove the water pump, because that is what spins the water pump.

Common sense says to replace the timing belt and tensioner when the water pump gets changed, and change the waterpump when you change the timing belt...

How to replace a water pump in a 1990 acura integra

Your best bet is go to the local parts store and buy the Haynes Manual. It is an easy process but involves meticulous attention to detail concerning the timing belt and since the water pump is diven from the timing belt, it has to be handled carefully. Keep in mind that you might as well replace the timing belt since your going to be in there anyways. MikeyRiceBurner

Visit the autozone.com website and register the car's information. It's free and you will have access to an online repair manual for the car. The wiring diagrams can be found there. ( I checked). Hope this helped and best wishes.

1991 Honda accura leaking water

i personally own an 91 integra im a mechanics student and is not an easy job . . first u have to move take all the accesory belts off move the power steering pump witout disconnecting the hoses , remove the right side motor mount , remove valve cover , take off timing cover , top middle and bottom make sure u lable eveything , also use a jack and jack stands to hold car and support the engine . remove crankshaft pulley,. if u change water pump i suggest u change timing belt too while your there . . the hardest thing is to deal with the timing you have to line it up perfect so it can start and also how tight the timiing belt is so it wont slip and cause damages, i personally did its not so easy . let me know if you got anymore questions

1994 accura integra starts and then dies -

Could be a few things here:

Check your spark plugs and leads (should be replaced every 20,000km or 12,000 miles)

Pull off your distributor cap and check that there isn't carbon build up on the points - if there is just scratch them away with a screw driver

Check your air filter isn't clogged and that you don't have a vaccuum leak. You should check that all of the hoses running around the car are not loose of have lost connection.

Sonata Water Pump

The water pump is turned by the timing belt. This is a good time to replace the timing belt as well. If you're mechanically inclined, buy a manual for you car and take you time. This is something you can do.
