Just call your local dealer. They should be more able to tell you this over the phone.

Is there anyway to bypass the immobolizer on my 2002 Nissan Altima?

This is quite an easy problem haha. I am currently doing my remote start for the same car right now and I know that issue you are having. After 1 or two full failed attempts to start your car the ECU knows not to turn on because it is locked. You have to put the key in the key cylindericon1.png, turn it to the on position but don\'t start the car, then count to 5 and then turn off the car and pull out the key for 5 seconds. Do this for a total of 3 times and the system resets. As for getting rid of the immobilizer that will be unlikely due to the fact that it sends info to the ECU to authorize it to turn on the car. However, you can bypass it like I did and then you will be able to use remote start and all the other good stuff. There are 3 types of ways to bypass the immobilizer but it will cost from 30 to 50 bucks. I got this from a Nissan thread so thanks to: Originally Posted by Anymanstupid-immobilizer-prevents-my-altima-2000-start.html#post3665018">viewpost.gif

2005 subaru outback immobilizer reset? Alarm was set with door being unlocked with key, immobilizer shut off all power. How can this be reset?

This could be a few things. If the security system was enabled and you just unlocked the door with a key and not using the remote, then all you have to do is put the key in the ignition and turn on/off three times. That's it!

Some cars have immobilizer keys. The immobilizer prevents unauthorized keys from starting the car (yours may or may not have it, depending on the exact Outback model).

Look here for the different styles of immobilizer keys:

hi what this is , is the pick up for the immobilizer system, what happens is when you insert your key into the ignition it disables the immobilizer and allows you to start your vehicle, it does this by, reading the chip that is in your key, when you put the key into the ignition it then matches the code from the key chip to the ignition chip which in-turn disables the immobilizer...what you are seeing is normally hid behind the steering-wheel cowling....hope this helps

Automatic engine immobilizer wo'nt reset

The immobilizer does not "lock" the ignition, it does not energize the fuel injection relay. What you have is a "locked" steering column. Put the key in the ignition, and pull/turn the steering wheel HARD left or right, whilst turning the key to on or start. Do BOTH at the same time. The action of you pulling on the steering wheel will unlock the steering column.
