Question about 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution

Open Question

Hi, I want to disable the speed alarm that goes off at 120km/h on a Mitsubishi Nativa 2009. It's sold in the Middle East even though it's not on the list. Bought direct from dealer!? Looks alot like the Lancer or Pajero Sport which is also not on the list!?

Hi I didn't understand what clarification you are seeking. It's a Misubishi Nativa 2009. Just in case, when my speed exceeds 120 Km/hr there is a constant warning bell. I would like to disable this since there are a number of roads here that allow 120Km/hr as a speed limit.

SOURCE: grade of oil

That info would be in his owners manual, I couldn't find it because the car is so new there is little info available. PLEASE tell him NOT to THROW AWAY the manual!!!!! So many people ask questions on this site, and the info is in the original owners manual, but most people seem to toss them out. If u don't want the manual, mail it to me!! Let me know if u can't find the info.

Did you change the battery in the remote?

The car thinks you are trying to steal it. You are lucky it doesn't have an immobiliser.

Hard starting

Could be a faulty check valve in the fuel pump. The check valve prevents fuel pressure from draining back into the tank.

Alarm goes off for no reason

It can be any of the car door not got properly locked or the door is locked but the switch is not sensing the door locked.Open and close each door again properly.
Or else its problem with any of switch wiring getting in contact with alarm wiring causing it to happen. And last thing alarm connections needs to be inspected. Its getting short somewhere in between.

There are few helplinks with solutions,to troubleshoot these types of problems.I suggest going through these links.

When you drive between 100-120km/hr the vibration get very bad but when you drive after 120km/hr

If the vibration is related to speed, and goes away at different speeds higher and lower, it is likely to be a wheel balance problem. Have the wheels balanced at a tyre shop. If it is under braking only, the brake discs are warped.

My Mitsubishi Montero, 2003 horn is going off in the middle of the night. I beat on the horn pad serveral times until it stops, then in a couple of hours it goes off again and the police show up. Is it...

Is the alarm causing the horn to honk? If so, you need to figure out what is causing the alarm to trigger, which could be any number of things.
Or, the panic module could be failing.
It is least likely to be the horn ring unless the only way you can get the horn to stop is by "beating the horn button on the steering wheel".

If it is, then you can replace the parts for the horn button, but you will need to get an assembly manual for the vehicle. Be sure to disconnect the battery before attempting to remove the airbag module. If it goes off, then you risk injury, and, they are not cheap to replace.
