You will have to under to inspect. Check the front engine mounts although it is not like that these will be fault. Now check the mount under the transmission housing, the rubbers on these can part quite quickly when they begin to go. Next check the prop shaft unions starting with the one the gearbox output shaft, Excessive play will be obvious to the eye if you have been feeling the motion through the gear shift. Most of these things are easy and not too expensive to fix. If changing the rear gearbox mount remember to support the weight of the transmission with wooden blocks or similar to allow the mount to be removed safely.

By fixing my motor mount that broke will my car shift normal again it has 50,000 mph on it it was runinng now its stuck in low gear please HELP

If you can look under everything that the car manufacturer put in the way, on top of the transmission is your shift lever that has the shift cable attached to it that connects the shifter from inside of the car to the transmission. There is a good chance when the motor mount broke and allowed the engine and transmission to shift positions, that this got into a bind and does not operate like it should. Not being there to see what has happened, or even what it is we are working on. I would say that there is a good chance that replacing your broken mount could fix your problem, either way....it can't hurt.

Torque drive or pulling under acceleration

To test if the car is automatic put in a low gear and accelerate hard and see what way it pulls. Then let off accelerator fast and it pulls the opposite way something is loose in suspension. Bushings, brackets, welds ect. I cant think of anything in the trans that would cause a pull.

My 1985 transmission (manual ) pops out of gear when power is applied

If it is popping out of gear then your synchro-gears are shot and the transmission needs to be rebuilt. I know that sucks to hear but there aren't many things that would cause your tranny to pop out of gear. The only other thing it might be is a broken motor mount and a broken tranny mount. But that's not likely to happen and I think you know if you broke a motor mount and your engine was rising and falling as you accelerate and decelerate.

Check your mounts then start calling your local wrecking yards!

Good luck, I hope this helps you.

Sorry it sounds so bad, but trannys are cheap and fairly easy to replace in your driveway.

I can hear the motor trying to move the windsheald wipers but they dont move ??

The motor is electronic and as long as current flows, the motor will always rotate. The same is also true with the windshield wiper motor. It has a a gear mounted at it's tip. Since the motor never starts, stops & n rotate again, the circular motion is converted via a rack & pinion assembly. So the gears, which are usually made of plastic,HDPE, tend wear out fast. This in turn is attached to the wipers which again exhibit to & fro motion.
Thus you might have to change entire assembly because plastic gears can't be bought & attached and maintained separately.........sodeep

Vibration

Is the engine light on? If not, It'probly time for an idle air control valve. Also check the motor mounts. Put the car in drive, hold the brake and give it some gas. Do the same thing in reverse. If the motor moves more than a few inches, you may have a broke motor mount.(you watch the motor, let a friend work the gas)
