Question about 1996 Nissan Pathfinder
I need to change my timing belt on my 1996 nissan pathfinder, went to buy a manual but its $430! wondering if i could get sent a guide of some sort?
Please don't spend that much!! Holy ****! A own a Haynes Manual for my '96 Pathfinder and they show/tell you how to replace anything you could ever want to!! (Quite literally almost every part!)
You can buy a Haynes Manual directly from their site here:
Or they carry them at most auto parts stores!

GO TO A PARTS STORE LIKE OREILLYS OR ADVANCE SHOULD HAVE ONE FOR LESS THAN $40.00

I presume you have a diesel motor, and are referring to the genuine Nissan manual which specifically covers the TD series diesel engines.
I have looked through this manual, and to replace the timing belt would be a neat trick, because there is a gear on the crankshaft, which drives a gear on the oil pump, which in turn drives the gear on the camshaft. So it is gear driven - no timing belt or chain.
