SOURCE: engine noise

Sounds like stuck lifters....check oil and make sure that it is filled to full and make sure the color is good (not dark/black)....unfortunately lifters are pretty expensive new...but before you go replacing them know that this is pretty common...have a mechanic make sure though...as far as the oil in the spark plug ports.....that would be your valve cover gasket......easy fix.....50 bucks tops if you do it yourself.....which I highly recommend considering the ease of the job. Also check the spark plugs....chances are due to the oil you've had a couple misfires depending on bad your oil is leaking and they may be damaged....if so replace them

SOURCE: 2003 saturn ion adding antifreeze every 2 weeks cannot find leak

There should be a radiator cap as it controls what goes into the overfill tank. You might consider replacing it. If there are no leaks in the radiator or hoses, there are only 3 places the coolant can go (water pump leak, blown gasket, or out throught the radiator cap). Hope its the cap because that's the cheapest. Good luck!

How to take timing chain cover off of 2.5 altima 2003

Have to remove variable valve timing cover, alternator, ps pump, tensioner, a/c compressor, motor mount and bracket, upper and lower oil pan, crankshaft pulley. I just replaced my timing chain- Not a job for a beginner, took a VERY long time. Recommended to support engine and remove subframe but not totally necessary.

Replace timing chian cover of a 1980 chey 250

Register for free at autozone.com. You can list your vehicle-or as many as you want-just make, model, year, and engine size-and then you can see repair guides specific to the vehicle you have listed. They should show the procedure for removing the timing chain cover. A lot of their procedures look like they were copied from a Chilton repair manual.

you can goggle this, 1000s of hits, why not ?

there are serious costs to do service on most FWD cars.
next time buy a RWD car. far easier to fix.
FWD is cheaper to make, (pull rad, fix, put back Rad)
there are 3 engines. ill roll the dice, and log in to alldata.
and see. 37steps out and 37 steps in,

2003 ford f-250 7.3L Diesel. 157,000mileage. Just

Have someone retime the engine. In a diesel it means to time the injection pump. You may have wear in the timing chain or gears. But the fuel ratio can be made rich or lean by when the fuel hits the cylinder.

Try that first as it is cheaper. You can have worn injectors and adding a cleaner will make the fuel run through faster. Possibly spray a little better, but it will not make the fuel nozzles any tighter.

When idling my car sounds like a diesel engine, what can that be? also I had the belt to the AC cut cause i dont use the ac where i live! is that ok? will i get better mpg? Thanks!

Your timing chain maybe worn and rubbing the inside of the timing cover and or tensioner. I had this problem and a new chain fixed it. Also it could be your engine has a factory gear drive instead and those are very noisey at idle. The gear drives will shatter after 80,000 miles usually when going at higy speeds.
