Not sure if I understand your mispellings but I think you're saying "sensor solenoid" ?? Guessing it is and electrical connection between your engine and transmission. (The solenoid resides on the tranny, the engine computer controls it)

I would like to know what the code digits are. If the code represents an error in the shift solenoid 1 then you will need to pull the pan down and inspect the wiring, connection/s and maybe pull out that solenoid and inspect for debris in the screen.
What do you mean by, "new trani"? If it is a new rebuild it should be covered by a warranty and if it is from the junk-yard. Well If it stinks then you should be able to exchange it. Which you are saying "NO" To.

2003 Buick Rendezvous FWD 3.4l engine tranny wont shift out of 1st gear.

Check engine light on? If so, you need to scan the transmission control module for any codes that may be causing this problem. You may have a defective solenoid etc. inside the tranny. You can also try disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it to see if it may correct the problem

Transmission module

automatic transmission, right?
dont shift , impliese but fails to say, by whom.???
on mine a 5speed manual stick, it can't shift by many a way.
ill take a wild guess and its an A/T
Don't shift.

ok, now I scratched head, do you mean
it stuck in 1st gear.
or did you mean its slipping , and feels like in neutral at all times.
or skips gears?

during these early transitional years, they had 2 transmissions
the newer one is electrically shifted.
and going farther we need to know what trans is really truely there.
we are blind here and cant see what you have.
if your car is a TCM shifted tranny (TCM is tranny brain, puter)
it has scan codes. so dump the tcm error codes.

or log into and read the TCM page.
its not a secret , all metro FSM cover this.
fsm means , the Factory service manual. get one.
or log in.

2002 Honda Accord hesitation and harsh shift into 1st

what gears hard shift, neutral to 1st. 2>3. which gear

hesitation is engine, issues. unless its flare.

is the engine hesitating? or is the tranny slipping.

does this happen hot engine, cold engine or both

what speeds?

does the transmission pass the stall tests in the FSM?

does the ditto the pump tests in the FSM>

the answer to your suck out quesions , sure, there is no limits on what any person can do , with the book in hand, ,.. zero limits.

and for sure we can not tell you , your limits.

read any FSM made on any car, see the ON CAR service.

read that,.

then see online, people going behond that.

on TCM based trans (A/T brains) we can drop the whole

valve body, tranny in car. and replace it or service it.

google soleniod valve body service.... or use google image

and see zillion photos of persons doing same

now let me back up.

why not post the full symptoms.>???? driving, shift , what it does good

and what it does bad. that forms a picture in our minds,

then we do the FSM checks. Pass or fail... stall test. pressure tests

if the tranny is slow to shift or stuck in a gear.

we first connect up our scan tool (USA OBD2 are my post only)

i scan it , hell with the CEL lamp i scan ever car first.

got Tranny codes have you,, didnt even look? P07xx >?????

The TCM in your car (tranny brain does ALL shifting)

so if the tranny dont shift right , then the 1st thing we do

is see if the BRAIN even did the shift.

yes, bad tranny (or some solenoid needs a suck out)

no, then the TCM is bad, or was lied too.

what does lied to mean, it means the TCM inputs are fibbing

the imput sensors are MALFING.

there are many inputs. most bad inputs throw DTC codes.

Think of this problem in 3 parts

1 the Gear box.

2 the TCM

3 the INPUTS.

the job on the on car mech. is to find which of the three are bad

the FSM covers that. very well. buyone.

since you did not post engine hot or cold, i cant answer.

on a cold engine (and in Alaska worse) the FAST idle is normal

as is all shifts. until such time and the idle goes to 800 rpm HOT.

N >1 shift.

ENGINE RPM is key, we watch that. to see if the trans is messing up

or the engine. (includes the stall test) ask.

I have a Toyota Corolla 96 automatic. I was driving slow, then when I accelerate, it would not shift to 3rd gear. When I pulled over, I turned the Car off. Then restart and the shifting was ok. I am...

year, make and trans, all in one post , 1st time in 3000, cheers to you.! way to go.
the A/T (protection)
is fluid level ok? (op guide shows how) do not over fill !
never drive a slipping A/t

now many A/T starting in early 90s have the first tranny brains.
called TCMs. trans,control modules)
it also has what is called limphome mode, on failure you lose gears, a gear can be cut, to to stop further slippage and heat damage.
and all TCM have error codes. but how to get them varies by year and car make .
the early TCM has flash codes, today its part of OBD2 port and is now scan codes. (easy)

ill try to look up toy way. (im a lover of all 1996 cars.. and not post 2006.)
toy calls this ETC, electronic trans controls)
6 fuses in total to make this work. but is part of ECU
ahh very progressive, the TCM/ETC is inside the ECU.
fully integrated.
3 soleniod drivers to got Tranny to sequence the soleniods. inside same
id bet any scan tool will read your tranny codes, P07xx codes DTCs are tranny codes, so use a scan tool (any OBD2 tool)

there is a OD line, that runs overdrive and clutch lock up with a relay. are you sure 3rd is missing and not the lockup?
The TCM will in fact tell you, (DTC) bad OD lock,, bad soleniods.
or slippage, best look first. for DTCS stored, pendings or freeze frames showing P07xx codes or others. related.
here is the schem.

Transmission hard shifting

A./T are complex.
A/T has limphome mode, too, some skip gears.
the FSM has many on car tests, you should read that.

Every 1991 and newer Suzuki with A/T 4 speed or more, not 3.
has a tranny brain "TCM", and can be reset. (inside the BCM/or PCM in yours, moved back in 1997) RTM.
if you dont read the manual on how, then pull the battery for 30mins, bingo all is reset.
you must drive car for ECU and TCM to trim the engine and tranny. (learn)

the ECU can be scanned with any scan tool (USA) are you? in USA? and you can see tranny codes , DTC'S, go them.
that be first, scan it and get the codes and figure them out
using , yes, books.
if no FSM for your car, get one fast now that suz, is chapter 11 here. (oops, consider that, and future...)
but is here always, USA.

My 2001 hyundai sante fe gl accelerates slow and seems not to shift out of gear i tried to do the manual shifting but it doesnt seem to help

You need to replace tranny, is your check engine light on? if so get codes read for free at Auto Zone parts store,,,Lots of miles on vehecle? Trans fluid should be changed at 40 thousand miles. Most folk dont do this and thats why trannys go out,,,and treating the trans bad like getting stuck in snow and driveing rough all cause bad trannys

Goes into neutral and then shifts hard into 1st on slowdown

It sounds like your input clutch seals are rolling. Is the check engine light on. It could also be the pressure control solenoid could be causing the problem aswell

Won't shift out of 1st gear

Replace the output speed sensor on the front of the tranny. It has two wires going to it. ANd looks like a round plug with a bolt like base on it. It is also white.
