I have replaced several water pumps on different makes but not on a KIA. I recommend you don't learn how to fix it from the internet! Buy a repair manual at the parts store. Best $25 you'll ever spend. Good luck!

Changed water pump thermostat coolant car still runs hot

It could be a leaking head gasket, or blockage in the cooling system such as sludge in the radiator, or a faulty cooling fan.
How long can you drive it before it gets to 220 degrees, and is the fan coming on ?

I have a 1997 kia overheating i have removed the thermostat

You have to install a new Thermostat because if the motor has no water pump thermostat sends all the coolant to the radiator and therefore the engine never warmed and you will not have heat because the coolant never be heated

My kia sportage of 1997 is missing when acceleratin. It started one month back and bad enough it looses energy. i have tried to change the plugs and oil pump but nothing has changed. I do not know what to...

Too many possibilities. Could be vacuum leak, clogged fuel filter, bad valve or adjustment, bad cap or plug wire, etc.
Do a compression test, maintenance the filters, check engine vacuum, advance diaphram, timing, etc.

What milage should you change the timing belt kia sportage

It's customary to change timing belt and water pump anywhere between 80K-120K miles.  I typically try to get them done on my vehicles before I reach 100K unless I'm having trouble before that.  Hope this helps.  Thanks for an honest rating.
