My cooling fan wont turn off when my car warm up fully

Your cooling fans may never turn off until the engine temp cools down enough. Also if your A/C switch (if equiped) is on the fan should stay on. The defrost position also turns the A/C on as well (helps to defrost windows faster) so that would turn the fan on.

water pump impeller i think here is the problem ,theyr use a plastic impeller on a metal shaft and after a while they spin on the shaft so the force needed to turn the impeller is passed on to the impeller it just stays still causing the exact symptoms you describe

Could a faulty IAT sensor on a Honda Accord LX 1997 cause over-hearting?

A faulty Intake Air Temperature sensor would not cause overheating. Have your cooling fans, fan relay, thermostat, and cooling fan switch checked. These are possible causes and are known to cause this problem on these models.

I have 1996 Honda Accord. The vehicle overheats, especially when the Air Conditioning is turned on. There is no thermostat in the car and the cooling fan doesn't work. Does it just need a new cooling fan?

If you run the vehicle with an inoperable radiator cooling fan you will overheat and destroy the engine. You will just make the problem even worse by running the aircon. The car should not be driven with an inoperable cooling fan.

A thermostat should be re-installed in the engine's cooling system and a new cooling fan installed.

If you have been running the vehicle with this overheat condition for some time you may well have already damaged the engine, the first sign of which may well be a blown head gasket and a damaged engine head.

If you damage the engine from overheating, repair costs can easily exceed the market value of this 1996 model car.

What are the two fans for on my 96 honda accord, my car is overheating, but only when i stay parked with it on, or when i start to slow down after driving, if im driving it goes down to the normal temp....

check the Radiator fan.

1. Disconnect electrical connector to fan motor
2. Connect battery voltage across motor terminal using suitable jumper wiries.
3. If fan fails to operate, motor is defective.
4.If fan operate, check the Radiator Fan Relay.

Hope this can help. Good luck

Fan is not turning

U have a leak somewere in your cooling system and needs to be fixed, plus the fan has a censor that tells it to come on and that is probably bad,but check the fuses first.

Cooling fan in Honda

On my 1996 Accord (4cylinder), this was caused by a tube inside my radiator overflow tank dropping off into the tank - the radiator would have too little fluid in it, so the fans would run a LONG time after shutting the thing down. The tank is in the front left, a white cap with a black tube running out of the cap to the radiator. Underneath the cap there should be a foot or so of hose - this is what fell off of mine.

Hooked it back up, made sure enough fluid was in the radiator, and no more problem.

The dashboard coolant heat gage will show the high temperature, also.

Electric fan on radiator is goofing off. chk if it comes on at all but watching gauge and listening for fan start uo just above operating trmp. Fan helps cool under 35 mph. Forced air cools over 35 mph.

1994 Honda Accord Overheating unless Heater is On.

Make sure your fan is working properly. When you turn on the heater you are forcing the fan to cool the radiator. It may not be turning on automatically when it is supposed to. Let us know if this helps..
