Question about 1997 Ford Expedition
At each door there is a micro switch mounted inside the door on the door latch mech that signals if the door is ajar, there are 2 of these switches on the rear hatch, so that is 6 total, the way we find out which one or ones in many cass is to hook up a body module scanner and read the output from the switches, then we don't have to guess and tear the whole truck apart, so the bottom line here is a trip to the local ford dealer is while worth the money
