Code 18 is: Battery voltage low. Check for bad wiring, faulty battery, or defective alternator. There are other things that could be causing this situation but start here and then go forward. let me know.

2002 ford explorer eddie bauer crank but won't start up.

Hello
The engine and transmission in this cars drive train are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM (Power Train Control Module). Whenever a problem like this occurs the computer stores a record of the problem (there are of course some exceptions to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant temperature sensor and MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL A TRAINED TECHNICAIN HAS DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO AVOID SPEDING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON PARTS THAT MAY NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM

I have a problem with my 2004 impala 3.8 V6 I will drive down the road and it will randomly die and won't start back up. It will turn over and everything but won't start. But if you let it

Possibly a crankshaft position sensor had the same problem with one of my former vehicles. Be careful buying a new one though it is an electronic part and it is not returnable at most part stores. That is what it sounds like to me though.

Sometimes, usually a few times a week, my 1995 Ford Explorer will not start. When I try to crank it up, it just clicks like the battery is dead. The lights, radio, etc. will be on but the battery display...

Remove the battery terminals, clean the posts and terminals and coat them with anti-corrosion grease. Wash your hands after this procedure to prevent mysterious holes in your clothing. With luck, this should fix your intermittent.

Car dies going down the road

First thing i would check would be the fuel filter. Sometimes, when they first start to give problems, there is enough gas to keep them idling or driving around town, but when you get on the highway they starve for fuel.
