2004 Toyota Tundra - mice got into the fan assembly and the motor

Mice got into the fan assembly and the motor gradually died. no heat, no a/c, no fan. there is heat below the kick panel on the passenger side. I managed to get some of it apart and it looked like a compartment housing a condenser?? was full of insulation and acorns. I vacumed it out but still no go.

I have seen that most of the time rodents will build a nest right in the middle of the fan on the blower motor. Remove the blower motor and clean the blower fan and clean out the air duct from the blower motor while it is out of the vehicle.

Also be sure to check the fuse to the blower motor or heater fuse, it might have blown out if the power to it was on and could not run because it was fouled up with a rodent nest.

Dead mouse smell and nest in dashboard how to find it?

I've seen this before. Mice. if small enough enter from the outside into the air intake and get into the fan and motor. The least fix is to remove the fan and motor assy. the worst is you will have to have a qualified technician remove the whole dash assembly.

Take out dash(tundra) for antenna installation

You could do an antenna installation without removing the dash. Take out the center assembly with the radio and hvac controls and the glove box. You'll have enough access to run the antenna wire from its stock location to the radio.
