Hi! Is the ac cold? But still giving you this fault code. You may need to reset the system. PLease try removing the battery connectors for 30mins and reconnect them. This should do it. HOpe this helps and have a good one!

This system is very touchy, make sure there is enough freon, and that the pressures are correct, make sure when it is working, that it is blowing good cold air, most of all check the low side reading, and the high side readings, this system has sensors not just switches in the ac system under the hood. What are the pressures?

Was the orifice tube replaced? Why was the compressor replaced? was it cooling ok before? Did you install the correct amount? How long did you evacuate the system for?

I changed my as compressor and now it will not come on

You would have to jumper the low pressure sensor to engage the clutch to be able to put freon back into the system.
You would also have to clear the codes from the computer too. There should be a code saying the system is low on freon and that would block the compressor from having power.

A/C and heating core

The leaking heater core won't keep the compressor from working.
You say the ac system is charged, but the compressor won't come on ??
The compressor has to run to charge the system, otherwise you will only get half a can of freon to go in. The system holds 3 or 4 cans when empty.
The low pressure switch has to be jumped to make the compressor run to take the first two cans of freon.

I'm getting an error code that states "Refrigerant Low - AC Off" or something real close to that. The compressor won't come on to take freon without clearing the code. I have had it...

Hi Bill,, don't worry about the codes, any shop that you take it too will know what to check and how to get the codes if they need them,, Most already know how to fix your problem, which would be a day to day thing for them,

Info system is saying that the A/C compressor is off, how can I turn it on?....Prev owner said it needed fre and thats it.....

Hello: You will have to service the system (add freon) and clear the code so the compressor will come on. If you keep adding freon without repairing the leak you will run the system out of oil and ruin the compressor.

Air compressor wont come on after freon got low how do i get it bac on to charge the system to add more keeps saying (a/c low off)

1.Turn key to on position but do not start engine. 2.Press warmer and off button at same time until screen changes. 3.Press " FAN LOW " until ACM appears. 4.Press " FAN HI " until ACM codes appears. 5.Press " FAN LOW " until clear ACM codes appears. 6.Press " FAN HI " until codes clear is on the screen.
If all is in order the compressor should come on at this point when engine is started. I have never tried this but found information in trouble shoot guide for 1998 Deville Cadillacs. Hope it works for you. Good luck.

Can i recive codes from my climate contral panel on a 1996 caddy

To check the computer for CODES:
1. Ignition switch ON. Engine OFF
2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER buttons on the climate control panel for 3 seconds and release them
3. See if you get codes such as AC1347 or AC1348 or some other LETTER/NUMBER combination display on the fuel data display along with HISTORY or CURRENT with each code or codes that display...
- AC1312 = AC high side temp sensor has an open circuit.
- AC1314 = Evaporator inlet temp sensor has an open circuit.
- AC1348 = Very low AC refrigerant condition.

Try addind about 1/2 can of freon to the system and see if the compressor engages. If not, you will need to perform some diagnostic tests on the above codes. I can e-mail you the pictures and directives on how to fix the codes, But first you need to clear (ERASE) the codes from the computer and see which codes return as current or history codes which should display just after each code.

4. After the code or codes display you will see PCM?
5. Turn ignition OFF.

To clear the codes:
1. Re-enetr diagnostics like you did before and when you see PCM?
2. Push and release the LO button and you will see IPC?.
3. Push and release the LO button and you will see ACM?.
4. Push and release the HI button and you will see ACM CODES?
5. Push and release the LO button and you will see ACM CLEAR CODES?
6. Push and release the HI button and you will see ACM CODES CLEAR.
7. Turn OFF ignition key and wait 2 minutes and re-enter diagnostics like I told you in the previous e-mail and let me know what codes appear and if they are CURRENT or HISTORY.

Hope helped.

The information center reads "very low freon" and "ac compressor off". this happens whenever you press the auto button on the climate control panel. On the climat control panel when you press the AUTO...

You'll need to have the A/C system serviced. It is low on freon so the compressor isn't coming on, and you won't have any A/C. Usually you'll just need some freon.

A/c compressor not working added freon but it

Either the system is still low of freon,or the sensor (one of them)is bad.The sensors are on the high side of the system, liquid line.If you will get on chat,I can help you with this,it will take a while,I will need to know how much freon was added. And what the system is doing,is the ac clutch engaging, etc?Ask for ronicon, when you click on chat with, type my name in,roniecon, with your text, that you are writing .

2000 mercury grand marquis air conditioning won't work

1st Thing,
Located Someone With a Set Of A/C Gauges 134A Freon,
Make Sure Your A/C System Has Enought Freon In It, There Is a Low Freon Pressure Switch
In The Electrical System, Usually, 50-60 PSIG or Less On The Gauges, Will Indicate Low Freon, When Freon Is Low The Compressor Is Dis-engaged To Prevent Compressor Damage.
1] Low Freon
2] Bad Low Pressure switch
3] Blowen Fuse[s]
4] Electrical Problem[s]
[a] Digital Climate Controlled ?
Climate Control Self Diagnose From Button's On Unit, OEM Manual Explains This,
If Yor Auto Has Digital Climate Control.
5] Bad Compressor DC Coil

Note: Does The Compressor Engage, Click-On When Button Is Pressed, But Getting
Only Warm Air?
Is One Of The Compressor Aluminum Tube's Cold, Be Careful Other Is Really Warm/Hot,
If Cold and or Sweating, Dripping Water [Normal], You Are Blending Hot Air w/Cold
Air At The Heater Blend Box, Making Warm Air.
If This Is So, If A Vaccum Controlled Temp Unit, Check For A Vaccum Hose Bad,
Should Be Either 1or 2 Vaccum Lines Going Into Firewall To Feed The Controller
Unit, If OK, Might Be a Bad Blend Box Diaphram, [Control's A/C air, Blocks Off
heater Coil Hot Air].
If Your Auto Is Vaccum Controlled, Can You Changed From Bottom, Dash,
Defrost Air Flow?, Yes, No Vaccum Lost Feeding Controller, Still Might Have
Bad Diaphram Blending Hot Air w/Cold If Your Have Cold Alum-Tubing In
engine Compartment.
If Digital Climate Controlled, Might have Diaphram's, Vaccum Controlled or
electrical Servo's Controlled vs Diaphram [Vaccum] Controlled.
This Might Help, Hopefully, This Is Just For Starter's, There More To Some System's
and Without The OEM Mgr's Manual[s] You/Be Would Be Lost, especially w/Electrical.
Later, God Bless
