Hello TJ.
If yours is the S15 Jimmy it is mounted inside the inlet tube to the evaporator.
Number 142 in the diagram below.where is the oriface tube for the a/c? - 8692419.gif

If it is the full size Jimmy the orifice tube is located in the evaporator inlet pipe (high side line) at the liquid line connection.
You will need to undo #41 nut to get to it.
Here is a diagram.

Hello tjcox1951: My name is Roger and I will help you. Follow the a/c lines back to the evaporator case at the firewall. You have a large line and a small line. The large line is the suction line also called the low side. The small line is called the liquid line or high side. You will need to remove the liquid line from the evaporator tube at the firewall case. You will find the orifice tube inside the tube that goes down to the bottom of the evaporator core. How to replace the oriface tube on a 2001 ford windstar


Remove condenser-to-evaporator refrigerant line. Separate line to expose fixed orifice tube. Pour small amount of clean refrigerant oil into cavity to aid removal. Engage Fixed Orifice Tube Remover/Replacer), hold tool body and turn "T" handle to draw out fixed orifice tube. To install, reverse removal procedure. Use new "O" rings coated with clean refrigerant oil.

Location of a/c oriface


The orifice is actually an orifice tube and is an internal part inside a metal tube.

Yes there is > Remove the rear cover and locate the dimple in the pipe it is there when you open the pipe>good luck , hope you have an oriface tube puller.

Location of oriface tube


It is located in the inlet tube to the AC evaporator core, the tube in deep inside that inlet, the small AC hose (called the liquid line) from the compreessor is what is connected to that inlet tube of the evaporator core, the evaporator core is what cools the air

one called an oriface tube (a cone shaped screen that fits inside the line usually at one of the line to line fittings, location differs by application) some cars dont even have one.

mnay ford have the orifice tube built with the liquid line as an assembly
the liquid line goes from the a/c condenser to the a/c evaporator
and the evaporator is inside the dash board but the liquid line is in the engine comparmet
