How do you know its not the air bags? if it goes down, there is a leak , there are valves on top of each air bag. bu tthe air bags leaking is VERY COMMON.

Disregard the front end noise part but this link does contain information you may like to know - for instance your model vehicle does have issues with the seat belt buckle (which is on the same circuit as the airbag - prone to error, or could be the clock spring inside steering wheel - another common issue) You will need to take it to a mechanic to diagnose correctly as there could be a couple of things causing the issue then get the part/s necessary

I have 1996 isuzu rodeo , drives. looses power, dies and back fires like a shot gun,

back first to tail pipe end, not air cleaner, right.

back fire to tail
is caused by 2 reaons.
engine runs rich as a pig, and air leaks to the exhuaust.
fuel + air and flame + bam.

sounds to me you lost cam timing
i cant help you more , as you never stated what engine is in the car.
called ENGINE OPTIONS< day 1.

and the story is lacking
start backup and .does....... what/???? runs prefectly???? or ????

I have a 2001 dodge neon and my horn won't work and airbag light came in after pulling starter and replacing ignition switch what happened?

The airbag and horn buttons are both connected from the column to the steering wheel with a part commonly referred to as the "clockspring".It is essentially a long printed circuit board rolled up in a hockey puck shaped housing,with connectors at each end of the board that are fixed to the outside housing halves.(It is necessary for the airbag to be connected with a solid wire-no contacts or brushes-for a reliable voltage path).The horn is also fed through this device because it only requires one additional track on the board and just makes more sense to feed it the same way.Check the connectors at each end(one in the airbag/horn button assembly and the other is probably at the bottom of the column) and you will probably find it easy.(You can also use an ohmmeter to test continuity of the clockspring but DO NOT DO THIS WITH THE AIRBAG CONNECTED!) If you don't see any issues where it connects,disconnect it from the airbag and wiring harness,and only test the clockspring for continuity.(I think you will find one of the connectors is unplugged or not pushed in tight).

The airbag and the horn share a common path.It is commonly referred to as the"clockspring".Before airbags,the horn button would feed a path through a contact brush and ring in the steering column.When the airbag came into the picture,it was determined that this would be unreliable for a solid connection between the airbag and wiring.The solution was to make a long,flexible printed circuit board,and wind it up in a housing,with a connector at both ends.It winds up it one direction,and unwinds in the other.Of course,they decided it would only make sense to also feed the horn wire inide of the same device.I am guessing that this is where you will find the problem.(check the connectors at each end to make sure it's connected tightly first).If you decide to replace the clockspring yourself,make sure you start with the front wheels facing straight,and the steering wheel centered.(the new clockspring will come set in the centered position.

Lincoln mark viii, front end lowers slightly when I shut off the car. Also, when the car sits overnight the front end lowers considerably.

You have a leaky airbag in the front end - a common problem for those vehicles but not a cheap fix either. There are aftermarket solutions to replace the airbag suspension but they are involved to install, making this an expensive fix either way. Check with local wrecking yards to see if they may have your specific model there for parts - but bear in mind their airbags may leak too. You may be able to find replacement airbags online - don't replace just one, rather both front bags to eliminate the need for repeat repairs soon after the initial.I would evaluate the cost of repair versus the value of the vehicle, unless you are restoring this car or planning on giving it to your child.

2005 mazda 3 s i just put airbags from can i remove the back shocks and live it on bags only? and will this affect my ride?

Yes it will affect the drive as the airbag will just pull out or even rip, the reaon why shocks are installed is to hold everything in one piece.

The side curtain airbags on your MINI is a long piece that goes fro end to end on your vehicle. The dealership will NOT remove any safety equipment installed by the factory. I am guessing that your question is in regards to a child's safety in the rear of the vehicle. The airbags are designed to only extend down to cover the windows, and to stop a passengers head form striking anything that is entering your vehicle i.e.bumber/hood of another vehicle. There are no rear seat airbags in your vehicle.

The check suspension light came on. I have noticed that the vehicle is sitting uneven after the airbags deflate once the vehicle is turned off. Lately the vehicle also seems to not have an airbag inflating...

Definitely sounds like there is a leak in your air suspension somewhere. I'd have a local shop check it out. There is a switch for the air suspension either underneath the glovebox right hand side of firewall. or in the back of the vehicle behind the left panel. it is labeled suspension

A Service Ride Control message came on my 2005 Chevy Tahoe with 28,000 miles- Dealer diagonosed it as the EBCM and charged me $750 - on the way home the message came back on - why?

I really don't understand why they would change this module if your message stated,Ride control,
The ride control on the tahoes is an airbag (air powered shocks) leveling system. If I remember right, they are only in the rear. They are meant to raise or lower the rear end to be level with the front end. To do this, it has air shocks in the back, which are controlled by a computer and a compressor probably under the hood. Now, the light could mean many things, the most common being that an airbag broke, and air is leaking out. You may be able to hear a whine of the compressor trying to keep it filled. Less common, but possible are that the compressor is dead, or a line ruptured. The most common reason that the air shocks go out, are when the vehicle is lifted (tire change or such) without the leveling system being deactivated. Hope this helps. Good luck.
