The port is right at the top of the compressor. But If you are asking where it is, you surely are not qualified and you should not attempt to "charge up" the a/c. Severe damage to the a/c system may result.

SOURCE: low on freon on 1995 ford areostar

You charge the a-c on the low side. If you are hooking up to check high side reading it is located to the right of the air cleaner and radiator. Good luck.

SOURCE: where is low side ac hose for recharging located

You will notice the low side has a larger aluminum pipe, and along that pipe you will find the low side port. Anyways you can't connect the low side charging hose to the high side so there is no way you gonna make a mistake on connecting the can to the high side and blowing up the can.LOL

SOURCE: ac is low on freon where is low side to fill

The low side freon port is always located between the compressor and the accumulator. The low side port also has a blue/light blue colored cap. The HIGH side will always have a red cap.

Which is the low side on the ac compressor for a 1990 geo metro?

Is it possible the fittings are the same size because this car takes R12 freon ??
Make sure you are using the right freon and tools.
The low side is on the thicker hose on most cars with R12.

When putting freon in my 01 saturn there is a high input valve and a low input valve, which one do i put the refrigerant in/

You put the freon on the low side, it may have a blue cap to let you know its the suction side.

its usually closer to a long round canister called the dryer or accumulator. when putting freon

make sure to run your ac on high while you are recharging the ac. good luck!

I have a 2006 Envoy, and it appears to freon is low. I purchased a can of freon from Auto Zone. Tried to put the nipple over the lower valve and it won't connect and snap in. I end up sending freon...

ok, there is a high side, high pressure line, and low side, low pressure line, for your AC. That refill can you purchased has an R134a connector. It will only connect to the low side of teh AC system as they are different sizes. If you try to connect it the best case scenario is what you described, the connector won't lock in place and it sprays every where. The worst case scenario is the can blows up. Make sure you have the can completely connected and the connector locks down or your on the wrong valve and may damage your system or injure yourself.

How do you put refrigerant for the ac?

Hello,

The refrigerant needed by your lumina is the freon(R134A) gas which can be purchased at the auto parts store.
Please follow the instructions below carefully.

1.To install freon in your 98 lumina you will need to purchase the freon (r134a) and a hose kit from your local parts store.

2.locate the low pressure side of your ac system, usually by the radiator, but sometimes next to the condenser. The hose will only fit on one, so if it doesnt fit on the first you find, find the other.
3.Afterwards,with the car running and the ac on full blower, puncture the can and allow freon to flow freely into the system.

You are done.

Thanks for using fixya.

The Low Pressure Side connector will be smaller than the High Pressure Side connector so the refill hose will fit properly only on the Low Pressure Side.

LOW side fitting for ac, where is it?

The low side is the larger tube. If you have too much or too little freon in the system, it won't work right. It MUST have the exact amount called for. You can't do this without a recovery system.
