How do i bleed antilock brakes

This is best done with 2 people , 1 to operate brake pedal the other to open and close blleed nipples at wheel. Make sure that fluid reservoir is kept full during bleeding. Start with wheels closest to reservoir. Open bleed nipple and press brake pedal repeatedly until pressure increases. Do each wheel in turn topping up with fresah fluid as needed.

I need a bleeding sequence for a 1994 GMC Suburban

The proper sequence to bleeding any brakes, are usually to do the one farthest away from the master cyl. first, and continue till ur at the last one. (left front). Rear brakes, then to the front brakes!

1994 chervy suburban. The rearbrake line failed and the brake pedal went down and the red brake light came on. The line is fixed but I have no fluid to the rear brake sysem. I suspect the brake safety...

More likely your master cylinder went dry and now has air in it. Get a bleed kit from a parts store, bleed the MC, then DO NOT let the fluid run low and bleed the brakes.

I bled the brakes in weel sequence on a 94 chevy suburban.and the pedal still has excessive travel a simi soft feel and 70% braking braking ability and the abs light & brake light stay on.what coud be...

Brakes are a pain. It sounds like the Crossover valve is not centered and you are using diagonal braking with only 2 wheels. Since 2 wheels are shut off, you need to bleed the fartherest rear wheel. If you have a helper you can have him/her pump the pedal and feel for movement in each wheel.

The rear side that does not move much still needs bleeding. The diagonal front brake that is paired with that one back wheel would be bled next. That should center the Crossover valve. As soon as the valve is centered the light should go off.

Sometimes you need to crack a fitting on the Crossover valve to get it centered. If the repair was for a broken brake line or a blowout on a Brake piston, that wheel and the diagonal wheel on the opposite end of the vehicle would be shutdown and the Crossover would be on that side. Just crack the fitting on the opposite side of the valve and the Crossover should float back into place.

Why were the brake lines replaced?

Sounds like the mastercylinder may have run dry. You have to bench bleed the master and then DO NOT allow fluid to run low, while bleeding brakes...

if master cylinder runs low on fluid and air gets in, almost impossible to bleed with out releasing the lines and bleed master it self.
