You don't reset the air ride. It's always on and is not like a Lincoln where a switch can turn the compressor on or off.

If it's low the pump could be bad, or the shocks are, eek, blown out and need to be replaced.

I added air shocks to my 1995 lincoln town car because the air suspension bags died. what pressure should they take and do they lose air so you have to add air?

The Stock Air Bags self Leveled, your new System should have come with PAperwork or is there a Air Nozzle that you have to fill? The Bags should come with a Pressure Window for a Firmer Ride or Softer Ride.

1997 cadillac deville 4 door sedan can you replace factory rear air shocks with good ol' after market air shocks ( these are the ones that you yourself can adjust the ride height by putting air into them)...

You can, but they won't adjust like your factory ones (automatically) Lots of folks replace w/aftermarket shocks instead of depending on factory units.

What does it mean when the dashboard reads gear indicator fault, service ride control and change oil soon even after i just got it changed along with service vehicle thats what keeps popping up on my dash...

Off the top of my head the following may be the case for your 1995 Cadillac Deville based on my 1997 Cadillac Deville knowledge:

gear indicator fault- has to do with the shift lever sensor down on the column by the feet,

service ride control- has to do with the air ride shocks in the back or the compressor in the front or the ride control height,

change oil soon- has to do with not resetting the % oil life (just press reset button for a few seconds when the oil % life is displayed)

Hope this helps you out.

Service ride control!

I had all suspension replaced by a cadillac dealer for $1400.00 in Arizona. They told me they would have to run a wire from the back to the front so the service ride control light would not come on all the time. They wanted me to bring the car back in to fix this but I needed to return home. I just hit the reset button everytime I start the car to remove the warning. I don't know if this would help you ...it's just info I have when you change to the new suspension in the rear.

Rear brakes for 1997 cadillac deville

you need to find a very little c clamp they sell this at any auto parts to block the fluid from driping then remove the bolt holding the hose and then put it back together and make sure to place the coper washrs back to prevent any leaks
the only proble is by doing that the system gets air and you need to know how to beed it out
