Question about 2000 Volkswagen Beetle

Environmental controls will not turn on. Turn the switch and nothing comes on Heat, fan or A/C

    I checked the fuses on the panel inside the car. Would any of the 30 Amp fuses by the battery cause the whole system to shutdown?

I do believe there is more than 1 fuse box in the cabin, did you check both? And, yes many times they will fuse interior items under the hood and exterior items inside the car.

Hi, the switch has a cable connected to it, it has definitely come loose from the plastic housing that controls the air flow,suggest open out the panel and reconnect the cable.

Blower fan not working.


Possible speed control is open circuit or the fan motor. Check you have supply to the switch/motor.

All 3 speed fan switches does nothing


Check your fuses by removing them one at a time but be certain to remove the battery before you start removing them since. Should you have a volt meter, turn on your ingition then check for 12V on eather side of each fuse. The fuse with 12V only on the one sideis open-circuit.

read the owner manual to see how the auto works. try the defrost mode whcih is a fail safe mode and should always come on unless a major system issue.

A/c heater won't blow... Blower works even replaced with new blower but still won't blow... Is there a relay to replace? The fuse for a/c is good


did you check to see if the a/c belt is still on the a/c puller ? if so then try a flush of all hoses.

Fan speed only works on #5


Is # 5 the high setting ? if so then you blower motor resistor is bad
