If the oil pressure light is on and u don't hear any unusual noise from the engine then the electronic sending unit that provides the signal to the gauge may be bad, but when it comes to oil pressure never assume that you have good oil oil pressure, assume the worst case scenario, the reason is if you do have low pressure it will quickly destroy the engine bearings, a new engine is about $5000.00 USD installed, so I want you to do this, have a shop hook up a special mechanical oil pressure test gauge to verify the oil pressure is within normal pressure zone WITH A HOT ENGINE AND OIL UP TO OPERATING TEMP OF ABOUT 250 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT, this would be 20-30 PSI at idle and about 40-45 PSI (higher is ok) at higher engine revs, if the pressure is below 15 PSI at idle with a hot engine you may have a defective oil pump or a worn engine bearing allowing the pressure to leak by, bottom line hear get the test done ASAP, PLEASE DO THIS TEST.

I did not find the issue in your question. Though I am posting the article which is for the basic troubleshooting that is done by all mechanics in case of generic problems with Nissan Hardbody Cars.

Thanks for contacting Fixya and please accept the solution if it has helped you.

Fix 4 wheel drive

You have a major failure in that differential, and it needs fixed (overhauled) very quickly, or you will need more that that fixed.
You may wind up needing a whole new front axle, if it is not too late already.
God bless your efforts.

My fix engine light is on and where do i need to go to fix it

To turn off the fix enine light the problem must be fixed. A dealer or a reputable service should be able to find and fix the problem. You can try and remove your negative battery for five minutes, then reconnecting. If the code was intermittent it will not come back. If it is a hard fault, meaning a definite bad component the light will come back on. In this case it needs to be fixed.

Hi, A car leaking oil will never result in the engine not starting, unless the engine has already seized. Before any corrective action can be taken, you need to determine where the oil leak is originating from. Depending upon several factors, this could be easy or it could be hard. One suggestion, do not use any of those quick fix oil additives to "fix your leak." The projected cost to fix your leak, will depend upon where your leak is. Good Luck!
