You have to take off the door panel and you should see a motor shaped like a cylinder. That need to be replaced. Each door has its own motor

If the problem is just the drivers window then the window lift motor is defective.

this happened to all four of my windows. the inside the door panel there is a gear for the window mechanism, this gear is only made of plastic so due to old age it gets brittle and then the teeth on the gear fall off. its not a big deal though just go to a auto window place...they fixed all four of mine

check for power at that window motor plug behind door panel while operating window switch. No power? replace window switch. Have power? replace motor.

I have an 02 Focus Zetec and yesterday the drivers side electric window decided not to work, but the rest are fine. Any Ideas on how to find out what the issue is cheaply {:@}

if neither the driver or passenger switch work to roll down the window then your motor is bad, you will need to buy a motor and window regulator from a junkyard it will cost around 100.
