If the bulbs look ok check the contacts on the bulb holders and also the contact area on the taillight housing as sometimes these can burn out causing your intermittent problems, the contacts can sometimes be cleaned up with electrical contact spray and scratching clean with a flat head screwdriver.

Turn signal

You should check for a couple of problems:

1) Verify that the front and rear passenger turn signal light bulbs aren't burned out.

2) Check for a short circuit in the wires at the signal lights. This can happen if you have a leak around the light and moisture gets inside. A strong indicator that this is the problem is if the signal acts up right after a rain, but works fine after several days of dry weather.

Usually replacing the flasher will fix this. Normally you can buy this at Autozone, but being a Beemer you might call around before you waste your gas.

Brake lights work intermittently

It sounds like a wiring fault - an earthing problem. Have a look around the lights/inside the lights themselves.. rear and front lights, brake lights, etc ...check the wires for corrosion/splitting. In particular check any black earth leads where they attach to an earthing point.

BMW 325i right turn indicator

Turn indicators blink a lot faster when a bulb is blown or a wire is diconnected. Check front and rear signal lights to make sure they work after you turn on right turn indicator.
