I believe in this car it is in the engine compartment buried behind the tranny dip stick tud and very much a pain to get too.

Check this because other TC's owners says that its right on the evaporator housing in the engine room under the wipers, it has a red sticker with the model number on it I believe. It's a pain to take it out. Other need to replace it on her mom's '02 Town Car also, dealer wants 170 bucks for it and its one resistor for all Ford cars, He bet junk yard would have it for like $20.

Hope this helps.

How to change blower on 2002 Lincoln t/c

Before blaming the blower, find a wire running from the blower to a small electric part that sticks out of the Firewall or ductwork under the hood. This part, a Blower motor Resistor is notorious for failure.

It has a single electric wire plug and 2 bolts securing it in place. Sometimes tapping it with a broom handle or snow scrapper will reactivate it until the next time. Aside from any Warranty on a new part, you pretty much can have the problem again with a new part.

Why isnt my blower fan working on my 2002 lincoln town car?

if the fuse is good then I would check for a bad blower motor first then the blower resistor. to check the blower motor with it turned on tap the blower motor, if it starts then replace the motor. another way of testing is to unplug the feed wire at the motor and run a feed(hot)wire to the motor terminal, if it doesn`t work again the motor is bad. if it does work then check for power going to and coming out the resistor if no power on any speed it could be the resistor this is a common problem with all cars. also check for a ground problem.

AC doesnt blow air all the time. I'll start it up no air, turn the car off and restart, blows air, doesnt do all the time. 2002 Lincoln Town Car Signature Series.

check the plug harness for blower motor, under hood on passenger side. I've had several town cars have that as the culprit when the air works intermittedly!

1995 Lincoln town car blower motor resistor. Blower runs on high only. Can I replace easy?

it's most likely the blower resistor, which is located under the hood on the passengers side in the evaporator case. if you have manual a/c heat control this is a cheap fix, if you have auto temp control it is a very expensive part [around 200.00] good luck

Heat wont work 2001 lincoln town car cartia

Hello Callahan5922....this sounds like a stuck blower motor resistor. I assume the blower won't function in the a/c mode either? If you have a digital multimeter you can check this. I believe it's fuse #2....if the digital indicator goes up or down when you increase or decrease the fan speed thats good. Locate the blower motor wil find it located on the fire wall behind the right valve cover hiding behind the heater hose, it's about the size of a cigarette pack. With the engine off, and key in on position, turn the A/C on High, and rap a tap tap tap on the resistor. You might be suprised when the blower motor takes off a runnin,
I hope this is the answer you need and i was able to help solve this for you. Good luck...

Lincoln 2000 town car Blower doesn't work at HI-MED-LOW speeds...

it is called blower motor resistor , should be close to blower motor , you will see a plug type connector with two screws , remove the screws and there should be a resistor inside the cover for the motor, swap with new and reassemble
