1991 ford f150 fuel problem

Is it possible the fuel hoses are not hooked up right ? If you only changed the rear pump and the lines are correct, its possible the new pump damaged the check valve in the front pump. The valve could have been about to fail before replacing the rear pump.
You may be able to block the line going into the front tank and run the truck from just the rear tank.

Where is fuel pump on 1991 f-150?

Your fuel pump should be in-tank for a 91 F150. To access it, you will likely need to drop the tank.

You should verify, however, that there are no ignition problems before considering the fuel pump and always remember to replace the fuel filter with the pump if it does turn out to be the pump.

Can I put a 1981 ford f-150 motor in a 1991 ford f-150 truck

Sounds to me like you opened a can of worms that you are not equipped/qualified to deal with. To begin with, doing an engine change the way you did it is illegal. It is OK to put the newer motor in the older vehicle, but it is against federal law to put the older engine into the newer vehicle. REFERENCE: EPA ENGINE SWAP FACT SHEET

With all that said, if you want to do a swap like that, it is necessary to also swap wiring harnesses and computer modules (among several other components) if you expect it to work.

Where is the fuel pump located in a 1991 ford f-150 6cyl with front and rear fuel tanks

the fuel pump is connected to the sending unit inside the gas tank. If you go under the truck and drop the tank you should find a hole on the top. tap the ring at the top of the tank till it spins off. now you can remove the sending unit and the pump. the pump should just unplug on most models if not then unscrew the wirring and remove it. now just put every thing to gether with the new pump an install the reverse way you took it of.
